Longest bike ride yet

Zev on Friday, biked down to Sun Bowl Stadium. On Google it says that its 3.4 miles with is impressive. He was done when we got back though. But he did really good. Here's the route.

Monica got zev a great costume this year! This definitely beats the old fireman jacket! Although he was tired and kinda whiney today and didn't want to go see the fire truck when we got close.

**After dinner update.
We rode down and then back up. Zev even stopped in the park and rode around it once. The kid is unbelievable on the bike! It was really funny though, i now push him up the hill biking, like the old man did. That's kinda cool... Well below is our route, its almost two miles!

Out for a ride

Well zev's been working and practicing riding lately. Around the
basketball courts that sort of thing. Well yesterday we took him down
by the Rio. We rode for about a half mile. Well today we rode down to
the park. Zev rode all the way around once. He has surprisingly good
control. Although it doesn't look like it sometimes.

Zev' first purchase

Ok we went to the zoo tonight for a OIF thing Monica was invited to. Earlier in the day i'd given him a quarter. So they had reduced the price the price tonight from $1 to $.25. So zev walked up and gave the lady a quarter and got on by himself!

Trip downtown SLC

Montana Trip- Yellowstone, Glacier and other parts north...

Ok, i'd planned on making on the move updates to the blog, but failed to realize that Montana is still "remote." I.e. there is not much cell service and what is there is spotty... If anyone noticed there were several posts initially that repeated many times. This happened when i was going in and out of service on the road. Ok here are the best of the photos that we took. It was a great vacation, although 12 days with a 3 1/2 yo was a little much... Have fun with the photos... I've included them two ways. there is the traditional slide show, and then a link to picasa where i've posted their locations on the map.

Montana

My favorite picture is the one of Zev on the boat eating. We had told him that we would rent a boat at Glacier. We weren't able to rent a boat the first day and he was upset. So our last day at Glacier we decided to rent a boat, Zev wanted a "speed boat." So we rented the john boat with an outboard. He had a blast and drove also.

Late update

Sent from my iPhoneWell this was a great picture of mom and me from when she visited.

We went over to Jacob's house today to have dinner and play. We usually go to the park, but didn't today. It was hot, instead we went over to some friends who have a son who is 6 mos older than Zev. Jacob (batman), also had another friend Luke (in orange) over as well. The funniest part was there were five boys, three old ones and then two 20-21 mos old boys outside before this running around naked in the water. It was a blast.

San Carlos, Mex

So let me set the scene: It's Mexico, anniversary weekend, we are renting a house and don't have to drive anywhere- we are ready to PARTY!
Now let me set their scene: Gubernatorial elections take place on the 5th and NO ALCOHOL is sold from July 4th to the 6th. We don't find out about the no alcohol thing until we are four hours into Mexico.

Do you see the clash in plans?

We had a great, dry trip to Mexico. The weather was beautiful, we were a stone's throw a way from the beach and it was a great way to celebrate 11 great years together back in Mexico where it all began. Yes I know, Brock and Monica would argue differently about where it all began. :-)

Biking at park

We took Zev and his bike to the park, he wanted to ride in the canal but learned he's too small and then decided to take a break.

Zev has issues with sleeping

ok, look closely at picture 1 and then picture 2. Zev is always doing weird things at night with all of his animals and blankets. He has the babies sleeping on bricks "babies beds" and 1 "baby" even has a pillow.... Last night we found him curled up on the side of the bed with everything piled around him. Blankets, pillows, animals, etc...

Why are adults so worried with buying expensive beds for kids? They seem to prefer other sleeping arrangements.

Deven's Preschool Graduation

Yes, Deven has graduated from preschool and will be entering kindergarten next year. Each of the three high school classes led the preschoolers in a song they sang together. One of the songs was "You are my Sunshine." Deven loves this song and we sing it at the house together. After the class sang the song, first verse only, Deven continued singing, all by his self, the second verse of the song. It was unplanned and completely adorable. He got a big round of applause when he was done. Grandma also taught him a new word that day. The word is "solo." Now when he tells people the story he tells them, I sang a solo. That means I sang by myself.
